A Top 100 Fastest Growing Privately Held Company; Number 1 Web Development and Design Firm; Co-founder Honored as One of "40 Under Forty" Top Civic and Business Leaders
SAN DIEGO, September 26, 2005 -- San Diego-based real estate Internet marketing company, Z57 Inc., was recognized on September 21, 2005 as one of San Diego's Top 100 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies for the second consecutive year. The San Diego Business Journal awards program reception was held at The Westgate Hotel in downtown San Diego. The 100 companies were ranked by verified percentage increase in revenue between fiscal 2002 ($4.6 million) and 2004 ($10.1 million). With 120% growth, Z57 ranked 20. In the category of largest employers in the Top 100, Z57 ranked 12 with 185 employees (based on local full-time employees 2004.)
On September 16, 2005 the San Diego Metropolitan magazine recognized co-founder and vice president, David Baird, as one of San Diego's "40 Under Forty" highest achieving business and civic leaders. Baird along with 39 other community business leaders were recognized at a public banquet at the San Diego Convention Center for their outstanding business and community service contributions. Karen Martin of the East Region Child Welfare Services Agency nominated Baird for his leadership at Z57 and for spearheading Z57's Adopt-A-Family program during the holidays.
In the September 5, 2005 issue of the San Diego Business Journal, Z57, Inc. was ranked the Number One Web Development and Design firm in the publication's Book of Lists 2005 based on the number of local employees as of August 1, 2005.
