After a 17 year career as an engineer, Todd Fizer decided to pursue a career that would give him more time, and the ability to pursue his Masters of Theology degree. After seeing his mother's success as a Realtor for over 30 years, Todd decided to try his hand in Real Estate. With less than two years in the industry, and only 6 months with Z57, Todd has greatly exceeded any expectations he had from the start.

Based Belleville, Illinois, Todd has used many of Z57's services to great success, particularly BuyerLink. He is doing so well now that he receives over 5000 visits to his website each month, and over 75% of all of his leads and transactions are as a direct result of his Z57 website.

We asked Todd to reveal how he achieved his great success:

Z57: How did you want to grow your business? Todd: During my time as an engineer, I saw how the internet had changed the way business was conducted. The days of Open Houses to get new clients didn't seem to be the way to go. Most people that I know that have been in real estate business told me that it would take some years to reach an income level that would be equivalent to what I had been making as an engineer. I thought I really don't have time to wait for that. I needed to have a way to attract clients and also serve them well at the same time. With the help of Z57 and my Personal Marketing Coach, Robert Segovia, I was able to get off to a fast start. The other day one of the ladies in my office made the statement, "how are you doing it?" Regularly, I have clients from out of state to contact me to work with them on relocating here.

Z57: What were challenges existing in your business that you wanted to overcome? Todd: I wanted a means of getting information to my clients without having to sit in front of my computer all day or night. I wanted a system that would respond quickly to their needs and a website that would contain pertinent information. I have received comments such as, "your website is the easiest to work with". One person told me that one of the reasons that they were going use me as their real estate agent was simply due to the fact that my website was so easy to work with and they were able to get the information that they were looking for.

Z57: What specific results have you experienced? Todd: I would say that 75% of my business now comes directly through my Z57 website. It is great. I was even personally invited to a US military transfer event in Virginia because of my website. One army command was transferring to my area and I was asked to go to their "community day". It was great I was able to meet many new people and develop not just a business relationship, friendships. This is my first full year in real estate and I will have approx. $7,000,000 in gross sales - it is really amazing the amount of leads I receive through my website - at least 5000 a month - last month I received over 7000 visits.

Z57: What role did your Personal Marketing Coach play in your success? Todd: Robert Segovia has done a great job. He has set-up my website and made valuable suggestions of what I should consider doing in order to generate more business. He is very knowledgeable and gets things done in a very timely manner. One thing that I like is that he is very accessible. I can reach him with a phone call and if he is busy, he will be back in touch with me very quickly.

Z57: What advice can you give to other Realtors with similar goals or challenges? Todd: The internet has changed the way companies and people conduct business. I feel that in order to be a success in real estate (really any business) you must have a strong presence on the internet and a strong and user friendly website. Z57 has really done the job for me. With the help of Robert Segovia, my marketing guy, my website has done a great job attracting business.
