I found an agent that had a site that seemed to offer everything that I could want and more. I assumed that a site that was that involved would cost close to $5k, but I liked the site so much, that I decided to contact the company anyway. That company was Z57. I was shocked to learn how cheap the sites were. I was so impressed that we replaced both office sites with Z57 and I bought one for my personal use as well, www.LiveAtLakeTulloch.com As websites and the Internet became more crucial to our business, it became evident to me that all of our agents needed a personal site of their own. Since most of my agents were seasoned veterans and not all that enthused at reinventing themselves by switching from traditional newspaper marketing over to web based advertising, I knew it was important that they have a website that they could manage on their own. I was confident that all of my agents could manage their sites comfortably, so we requested that all of our agents get their own sites. Since I had pretty good success at that point with my personal site, most were anxious to do it. I did specify that if they got a personal site, it must be a Z57 site, because if they ever needed my help, I would not be forced to learn another system. We asked Aaron to reveal how he achieved his great success: Z57: What were challenges existing in your business that you wanted to overcome? Aaron: Since I specialize in high end waterfront homes located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada’s, I wanted to provide exposure for my clients that were on par or better than the exposure than they receive in the San Francisco Bay Area. Z57: What specific results have you experienced? Aaron: Once I made the decision to specialize in specific segment of our market, my market share of waterfront homes has increased dramatically. Since I started, I seemed to have a knack for selling waterfront homes, but my sites have increased my advantage. Just last year, I led the area in Waterfront Sales Volume and number of Waterfront buyer or seller representations. At least 80% of those clients came from my website. Z57: What advice can you give to other Realtors with similar goals or challenges? Aaron: Be patient and make sure that you do you best to market your site. Many people assume that having a site alone will lead to sales and a ton of inquiries. In May, I did not have one inquiry, with almost 1000 unique people to my site. That maybe frustrating to some, but in reality more that 63% of those visitors added me to their favorites and I know that the serious ones will be back when they are ready to buy. The more people that see your listings, the more successful you will be. |
