Candace Morton always wanted to run her own business, yet keep a flexible schedule - becoming a Realtor® was a natural fit for her.
After deciding to use Z57's services in December 2005, Candace quickly realized just how effective her website and online marketing efforts had become. Making effective use of InstaCompare and IDX, Candace now insists that her website is the only advertising that has worked for her as a Realtor®!
We asked Candace to reveal how she achieved her great success:
Z57: How did you want to grow your business?
Candace: I want to grow my business so that I have at least one administrative person as an assistant and possibly a "buyer's agent" too. This will take a process of at least a couple of years. My goal is to actually try and have a life outside of work.
Z57: What were challenges existing in your business that you wanted to overcome?
Candace: The biggest challenge I have with my job right now is having enough time to prospect for new clients and do all the other tasks required for my job. An assistant of course would help but it would also be great to rely on a source (such as the website) to generate enough leads to help offset door knocking and open houses.
Z57: What specific results have you experienced?
Candace: The website has generated at least 3-4 leads per week that I follow up. Some leads are better than others but just since I've started the site in Nov 05 I've been working with over 15 qualified leads. I'm currently working with about 3 other buyers and sellers that will result in sales in the next month. I started using your company in November 2005 and got my first sale in February 2006. My first sale was a $1.2 million dollar home and they also had a home to purchase which came out to be $1.5 million. Huge deal, all thanks to Z57!
Z57: What role did your Personal Marketing Coach play in your success?
Candace: By Personal Marketing Coach I'm not sure if you mean Steve Peron or Jim Cronin but both have been critical in making the site look good and making sure I get the most exposure by using certain words on my home page. They made it easy to understand and explained the importance of advertising my website to get the word out and generate leads.
Z57: What advice can you give to other Realtors with similar goals or challenges?
Candace: My advice to other Realtors is that it's important to utilize the internet since 77% of people use this tool to find a home. It's also important to make the site work for you. It's not good enough to just have a site but use it as a marketing tool to generate leads and present yourself in a professional manner.
